On October 1st, 2017, over 75 McQuaid and Mercy students came together for prayer, brunch and hard work caring for the graves of our community’s indigent. Girls from Mercy and Boys from McQuaid along with many family members, worked alongside one another pruning weeds and planting bulbs to beautify over 300 plots in Oatka Cemetery. Thank you to all who participated!
McQuaid Principal-Mr. Adam Baber, Campus Ministry associate-Mr. Patrick Flaherty, Mrs. Therese Randazzese-Mercy Service Coordinator, Theology teacher-Sr. Joan McAteer and Sr. Beth, SSJ all welcomed the students and families while enjoying breakfast food. Sr. Beth shared about her involvement in the Burial Initiative: honoring those indigent people a loving burial.
